Kami, short for Kamilah, is the first virtual influencer with Down syndrome. She was created by a partnership between Down Syndrome International and virtual modeling agency The Diigitals, creators of Shudu. One hundred real women with Down syndrome volunteered their faces, expressions, and mannerisms to provide the basis for Kami. A collective of women with Down syndrome called "Kami Contributors" are the ones who decide what Kami wears, where she goes, and writes her captions for social media.
